SFS Alumni for Advisors -- The School for Field Studies

Working with alumni on campus is just as important as working with prospective students and applicants for the Institutional Relations team. Currently, we have over 14,000 alums around the world!

Campus Representatives

A Campus Representative is an SFS alumnus/a who has volunteered to do proactive outreach to prospective students on their home campus. When students return from the field, we receive a list of names and schools of the Campus Representatives. When we visit campuses, we enjoy working with the Campus Representatives.

They can participate in a variety of outreach and recruitment activities, but most often they contact students who have inquired about SFS (via email or postcard), hang SFS posters on campus, assist the SFS representative at a study abroad fair, present their research, set up a poster session, or make a presentation about SFS programs.

The Campus Representative program provides alumni with opportunities to share their SFS experience with others, which can help with their post-course transition back to school and help keep memories of their program alive.
