Fountain Scholarship
This endowed scholarship was made possible by the generosity of SFS alumnus and noted film director of
The Fountain, Darren Aronofsky. The Fountain Scholarship provides tuition assistance to those SFS applicants who (a) have spent the substantial part of their childhood and teenage years growing up in an urban/city environment (whether in the U.S. or internationally); (b) demonstrate financial need; and (c) demonstrate a commitment and concern for environmental issues.

McKee Scholarship
This endowed scholarship was made possible by the generosity of SFS Trustee Charles D. McKee. It is awarded on an annual basis to a financially deserving student attending a summer or semester program at any of the SFS centers.

Tozer Scholarship
This endowed scholarship was made possible by the generosity of Elizabeth F. and W. James Tozer, Jr.  Zibby and Jim are long-standing supporters of The School for Field Studies where Jim serves as a member of the SFS Board of Trustees.  The Tozer Scholarship is awarded to students who otherwise could not afford to attend an SFS program.

Stephen F. Lee Memorial Scholarship
This endowed scholarship was established by the family of Stephen F. Lee who developed a passion for the marine environment as an SFS student, intern and faculty member. The scholarship is awarded to financially deserving students attending an SFS summer or semester program.  Preference is given to students who attend an SFS marine focused program.

Heather Jo Leibowitz Memorial Scholarship for Kenya
This memorial, endowed scholarship was established by the family of Heather Jo Leibowitz, a Spring 2004 participant at the SFS Center for Wildlife Management Studies in Kenya. It is awarded to financially deserving students attending the Kenya program. Preference is given to students who, like Heather, have a commitment to making a difference in the lives of resource dependent communities in Kenya.   

Erin L. Bergstrom Memorial Scholarship 
This memorial scholarship was established by the friends and family of Erin L. Bergstrom, a 2004 graduate of The University of San Diego and a Spring 2003 participant at the SFS Center for Rainforest Studies in Queensland, Australia. The scholarship is awarded to financially deserving students who attend an SFS environmental study abroad program. Preference is given to students who have a commitment to the environment as well as demonstrated leadership skills at their universities or in their communities.
