Dr. Molina joined The School of Field Studies-Center for Sustainable Development in Costa Rica as full time faculty on July 1, 2008. Previously he worked as consultant for 3M™ in the area of sustainability and environmental initiatives and as researcher and lecturer at the University of Minnesota in the Environmental Science Policy and Management program. With almost a decade of experience, he enjoys working in the areas of Corporate Environmental Management & Marketing, Business and Climate Change, Forest Products Marketing and Management, Environmental Policy, Corporate Social Responsibility, and multiple aspects related to business and the environment. Dr. Molina has worked for the National University of Costa Rica, the Costa Rican National Forestry Office, the University of Minnesota, and 3M™ Corporation. He earned his doctoral degree from the University of Minnesota (2007) with specialization in Economics, Policy, Management & Society. After graduating as a forest management engineer from the National University of Costa Rica, he worked for the Costa Rican National Forestry Office, mainly involved in public policy activities. In 2003 he earned a Master of Science degree with specialization in Forest Products Marketing from the University of Minnesota. Dr Molina has published in the Business & Professional Ethics Journal, the Journal of Forest Products Business Research, the Forest Products Journal, in addition to several trade magazines and bulletins. He has presented his research ideas in numerous conferences in the areas of Environmental Management and Marketing, and Forest Products Marketing in the U.S. and Europe. Dr. Molina has been recognized with the 2007 Best Doctoral Dissertation Award of the Organizations and the Natural Environment Division of the Academy of Management; recipient of a Master's Fellowship from the National University of Costa Rica and the International Student Exchange Program; and at age 15, he was recipient of a Central American Peace Scholarship from the U.S. Agency of International Development.
