| Founded in 1980, SFS is one of the country's oldest and largest environmental study abroad programs. Through our network of field stations, SFS works on a diverse range of critical environmental issues in ecosystems around the world. We teach students field research skills through cooperative work with local communities, conservation organizations and government agencies. During our programs, we help our students make meaningful contributions toward the sustainable management of natural resources in our partner communities.
